Carlos Mejia is a Florida-based executive-search and business consulting leader with over 25 years of experience and a knowledge base spanning candidates, organizations, strategies, and markets. Throughout his career, Carlos Mejia has directed more than 1,000 search assignments across Latin America, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) as well as the Asia Pacific region. His work has comprised assembling investment teams that develop and monetize systematic and quantitative strategies for various asset classes, including fixed income, foreign exchange, equities, commodities, derivatives, futures, and digital assets.
A founding partner at Phoenix Point Partners, Mr. Mejia concentrates on building senior-level relationships with hedge funds and proprietary trading firms. His work involves hiring for C-suite and other senior management positions as well as identifying thought leaders across portfolio management, quantitative research, data science, artificial intelligence, trading, and risk management. Prior to Phoenix Point Partners, Mr. Mejia served as the managing partner at Options Group, where he led the US hedge fund executive-search practice and contributed to its global leadership.
Carlos Mejia has also held training and supervisory roles with organizations supporting youth and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He has also served in leadership and advisory capacities with community-focused efforts, including the Youth & Police Initiative and the North American Family Institute.
